He wanted to be a film maker so he decided to make a documentary about false guru's, by becoming one!
What is even more hilarious is that he preaches the truth!
"I am an illusion."
"None of what you see is real."
"These clothes do not make me any different from you."
"I cannot help you. You have all you need to help yourself."
Can you guess what happens next when his followers start following him?
What is their intention?
What is blocking them?
What can they do about it today?
How will they know when they have what they want?
And then he listens......
He does not give advice. He does not tell them what to do. He hold the space in time with his listening to give the follower a container to analyse, think, feel, and eventually make the changes they need to get what they want in their lives.
His intention was to prove guru's where false.
His followers become happier and begin to actually manifest the real life changes they asked him for help with!
The false guru proves himself real! And now for the real plot twist!
What does he do next? Does he tell them the deeper truth or does he go on pretending to be a guru?
I won't spoil it for you. This is my favorite movie because what I see happen is Vikram teaches himself to be a COACH!
Ignore the clothes and the yoga swag, they are just props to get the followers to open themselves up to the possibility that they have the power inside of themselves to accomplish and achieve what they want!
The difference between a false guru and a real one is their ability to release the potential that is already inside of you under your control. It has nothing to do with them.
All the coach does is practice the discipline of taking themselves OUT of the situation.
My best coaching is on topics I know NOTHING about. Now this isn't logical right? If you have a serious problem, you want to hire someone who has been down the road before, right?
The power of coaching is that is can be applied to any situation and the coach does not have to be an expertise in that discipline. The art of coaching is in itself its own discipline.
The International Coach Federation is a private not-for-profit organization that credentials coaches in their ability to do just that so you don't have to waste you time figuring out the false from the true coaches.
